Thank you both! Have you tried Lott's Cafe? Wondering about that. One of our travelers loves steak

I haven't been to Lott's, but I looked at its page and it looks good.

The Brazen Head Pub (https://brazenhead.com/) is one of my favorite hangouts in Dublin, but it's more for drinking than eating. It teaches a bit of medieval history. Founded in the 12th century, the pub has low ceilings because people were short then. I'm 6 ft. 2 inches tall. When I first entered the pub, my head was almost touching the ceiling.

If you're looking for something a little nicer than pub food, we liked Sophie's Rooftop Restaurant and Bar at the Dean Hotel. (We did not stay there.) We went for a late lunch and were surrounded with what seemed to be local office people on their lunch. Food was very good. Also for a break from pub food, we liked Tapas de Lola recommended by someone here on the forum. I believe it was actually on the same street as Sophie's, but closer to Stephen's Green.

We had a great dinner at Mister S. https://www.misters.ie/
Someone on this forum recommended we make reservations far in advance and request a table in the lower section (much quieter). They were spot on.

I second Boxty. Been there a few times and always good. Can get crowded as it's not a big place.

Don't understand it. Gallagher's Boxty House and Bewley's are two of the worst places
to eat in Dublin. Research good gastropubs, and the Michelin guide according to your
taste.

ÉireLover, genuinely curious as to why you feel Gallagher’s Boxty is the worst? Did you have a bad meal, experience, location? Honestly curious, no judgement.

I had great food at The Yacht in Clontarf. One of the best steaks I've ever eaten.

If you are looking for something upscale we ate at Bastible a couple of days ago and it was fantastic. 10 course tasting menu and everything was well thought out, beautifully presented and delicious.
