Golfing Ireland

Hello,

A group of friends and I are looking into planning a golf trip to Southwest Ireland in June 2015. I have researched several tour companies for prices. However, we feel that we can plan the trip without paying an upcharge for tour companies fees. Basically, I am looking for any advice with places to stay (Day 1-4 Killareny, Day 4-6 Shannon) , the use of a driver for transportation, and how to book a tee times for 4 to 8 people.

If the best practice is to use a tour company which companies are best for booking the trip. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
jn

JN - I have spent a little time golfing in Ireland. I would suggest contacting the courses you are looking to play. If you haven't thought of any courses, I would recommend Doonbeg, Lahinch, Old Head and of course Ballybunion. For Driver for Hire services check out www.glengarrifftours.ie.
