My fiancé and I are taking a honeymoon to Ireland. One of the things he would really like to do is play a round of golf. We've looked at Lahinch and Doonbeg- both have impressive sites and also cost quite a bit. We are looking at doing this in that part of County Clare. Does anyone have any recommendations about any golf courses or golfing in Ireland?

Don't know if this will help but my son wanted to do the same in the Uk. He used a website called Golf World and he said it was easy. You just type in the name of the country and said it then gives you the name of a county and you go from there. He said it listed private and public courses and prices and some with a rating and some not. Good luck.

We did a 14 day tour of Ireland with TAUCK Tours, in 2012. One of the hotels we stayed at had a golf course. It was the Lough Erne Resort. It was so pretty there. My husband had one photo of the hotel and grounds, made up on canvas for our bedroom wall.
