Looking for golf course recommendations (public of course) in Ireland or Northern Ireland that are nice but aren't going to be hundreds upon hundreds of dollars, thanks.

We played at this 9-hole course near Killarney a few years back. Very affordable. Neat scenery and you can rent clubs if needed.
I was fortunate enough to play several top courses on western Ireland several years ago. Lahinch was my favorite. Weather can be "Irish golf weather" with wind and rain. Dress accordingly and if available hire a caddie!
My husband played these courses in 2019 and enjoyed them all:
1. Dooks Golf Club near Glenbeigh in County Kerry https://www.dooks.com/
2. Doonbeg in County Clare https://www.trumpgolfireland.com/ (he would love to have played Lahinch up the coast but it was too $$$)
3. Connemara Golf Links near Clifden, County Galway http://www.connemaragolflinks.com/
4. Donegal Golf Club near Donegal https://www.donegalgolfclub.ie/
5. Narin and Portnoo Links, County Donegal https://narinandportnoolinks.com/
These are all coastal links courses with unbelievable scenery and some treacherous wind! Enjoy!
Katheryne’s first listing, Dooks, appears to be a preeminent course, among the top on any golfer’s list. We were staying in a B&B in Glenbeigh last month, and at breakfast was a quartet of gentlemen from Dublin who were golfing at several courses in the area over several days. They’d just played Dooks the day before, and from what they said, it was the highlight of their golfing vacation in southern Ireland.
We came across Cruit Island Golf Club https://www.cruitislandgolfclub.com/ while exploring Donegal. Breathtaking!
Try this near Waterville on the Ring of Kerry
