Im planning on traveling to Ireland in May or June and was wondering if there were festivals or events to be mindful of.
The weather isnt a factor for me, but ai wpuld hate to miss out on a Irish event that happens once a year.

I’m the opposite. I try to avoid festivals and crowds. :-)
I’m going in May, which will hopefully be less crowds.
The list in Carrie’s link is remarkable. I wondered whether the Fleadh Nua in Ennis was on it (it is), as we attended its first several days in late May 2023. By many accounts, it’s the best Irish music festival in the country, and it was a fabulous time.
The actual schedule of the current year’s events comes out closer to the festival, although you can see last year’s official program on the link for an Idea. The biggest events happen towards the end of the festival, and we weren’t there for the end, but it wasn’t at all overcrowded in the first 3-4 days. Booking a table for dinner before the nightly trad music sessions at Knox’s Pub, then being surrounded by the musicians as we finished and they started, was an unexpected treat.
