Is it worth it for US Citizens to obtain a Global Entry pass? We do not travel internationally more than once a year. We have TSA Pre-Check and plan on utilizing the Mobile Passport Control for our return from Dublin.
Thanks.

Since Dublin has mobile passport control for US preclearance you should be fine without global entry.
Global Entry is only used when you return to the USA.
We recently (November 2024) traveled from Lisbon (via Heathrow) to LAX, and absolutely loved having Global Entry!
We were exhausted from our travels when we arrived at LAX. We entered the customs area to see hundreds of people in multiple massive serpentine lines. Just before entering the long queue, we told the attendant that we had Global Entry, and were directed to another empty lane with two agents waiting to process our entry. There was No One in line at Global Entry; not one single person. We walked up to a computer kiosk, looked into the screen, and the agent simply welcomed us home and waved us through. We then breezed through to baggage….and then sadly the LA freeways were not as kind ;)
It’s $120 per person. You need to decide if it’s worth it for one international trip per year and leaving from Dublin means you go thru US Customs in Dublin and can use the Mobile Passport Control App there to get thru quickly.
Yes, Global Entry is for entry to the U.S., which one effects in Dublin if one is flying to the United States due to the U.S. pre-screening operation inside the Dublin airport.
Thank you all for your comments and advice. At the current time, we do not have any additional international travel planned so we will forego the expense of the Global Entry pass and utilize the Mobile Passport Control for our return from Dublin.
