Giants Causeway tour

Traveling to Dublin in October and wanting to take the tour from Dublin to Belfast to see Giants Causeway.
There seem to be several options, I’m not sure how the choose the right tour. Has anyone done this?

I did one with Paddywagon tours a few years ago and really enjoyed it!

Just checking, but are you going to be in Dublin for a few nights, then want a company to take you on to Belfast for a stay, and later to the Giant’s Causeway on the north coast? We were in Ireland last September on our own, with a rental car.

So I don’t gave a specific tour company to comment on, but a big part of our Causeway experience was hiking 5 miles from the east along the coast to get there. We didn’t visit the visitor center/museum, but had a spectacular walk along the coast, culminating in arrival at the Giant’s Causeway. Whatever tour you pick, they should include adequate time to spend out on the rocks, and seeing vistas out to sea.

We later finished in Dublin, not started, several days later. The Causeway is actually some distance north of Belfast, so hopefully there’s not a company leaving Dublin in the morning, cruising thru Belfast en route to the causeway, then stopping off at the Causeway before turning around and speeding back to Dublin in time for dinner. That might be possible, but would seem to rush things.

We also did The Gobbins tour one afternoon, a restored and reopened coastal walk north east of Belfast, a unique holdover from 100 years ago. A tour company that somehow includes a Gobbins visit would really be something.

Try Paddywagon tours. We did not use them as we decided to rent a car and spend several days in the north but when we first researched a tour Paddywagon had one that was a long day tour to the causeway from Dublin and back.

I would like to 2nd Cyn’s suggestion of hiking the coast. We did 10 miles hiking from the west. It was one of the most spectacular days in Ireland or NI. Try to get some time away from the hustle of the tourist packed causeway. Even if you hike a mile away, you will be rewarded with incredible views that you only have to share with your travel partners.

The OP posted in August. Imagine she has already been there and done that.
