I'm sorry I've read so many posts and taken some notes but I just can't wrap my head around where to stop on drive south. Staying in Belfast and making a full day of Titanic and Giants Causeway. Will look for a place on the coast, as far as we can get heading south from the Causeway. Suggestions welcome.

if you are seeking to break your driving up into more comfortable chunks, I would recommend staying overnight in either Donegal (Town), Ballyshannon or Bundoran. Of the three, Donegal is the most picturesque, but Bundoran is right on the beach, and Ballyshannon is closest to the famous Rossknowlagh surfing beach.
I don't recommend Sligo only because it makes your total journey very unbalanced in mileage. I am assuming that you will start your drive from the Giant's Causeway.
