Getting to Enniskillen, Northern Ireland

Hello! A friend and I will be travelling to Enniskillen next June for the McGrath clan gathering. Is it best to fly into Belfast or Dublin, or another city? We're both coming from Boise, ID. Looks like we'll need to rent a car to get there anyway. I'm leaning towards Belfast since I've always been intrigued by Giant's Causeway. Any thoughts or suggestions? Anything else we should try to see in the area?

Thanks!

Sheena, you can get a bus from Dublin airport to Enniskillen. The bus goes to Donegal, but Enniskillen is a stop on the way. It probably takes 2.5 - 3 hours. You would need to check your arrival time at Dublin to see if the bus timetable works for you. There are several buses during the day, but after a long flight you don't want to have to wait around for a bus. I am not familiar with the options from Belfast, but I am sure you could get a bus from there too.

Dublin is in Ireland, Belfast is in Northern Ireland which is part of the United Kingdom.

Two different countries. Different currencies.

Drive from Belfast international Airport to Enniskillen is an hour and a half.
Drive from Dublin Airport is 2 hours.

In Northern Ireland and Belfast see the Giants Causeway, St George’s Market, Titanic Museum, the Botantical Gardens, Crumlin Road Gaol, The Peace Wall and the Ulster Museum.

In Ireland and Dublin visit the Book of Kells at Trinity College, Little Museum of Dublin, the gorgeous Newman University Church, walk in St Stephen’s Green, shop on Grafton Street, drive to Powers Court and Glendalough as well as the Rock of Cashel.
