We arrive at Boston Logan with 3 hours to get from Alaska Airlines terminal to Terminal E for Aer Lingus...not having been to
Logan before...is that enough time? Do we have to go through
security again? We arrive in Dublin at 8 am and then leave 16;20....does that give us enough time to go outside of the airport to see anything of
Dublin? even a nice pub meal? How is going through customs upon
arrival? Or maybe....Should we use the airport lounge in Dublin for that extended time? thanks! Mary
You will have plenty of time at Logan. It's not that big of an airport by international standards.
You'll have a few hours to spend in Dublin. The city is not far from the airport. Public buses are probably the cheapest, but if you are looking to maximize your very short amount of time, I'd recommend taking a cab. You'd probably have just enough time to walk around the main sites (Trinity College, Temple Bar, along the Liffey, Grafton Street, etc.), and have a quick lunch at a pub. I would want to be back at the airport no later than 14:00 if I were you (although everyone has their preference on those things). So you could probably site-see for 2 or 2.5 hours, have a nice lunch, and head back to the airport.
If it were me, I would rather pop into Dublin even for just a few short hours to see what I could. But of course, you'll have a lot less stress and save some money if you stay at the airport lounge.
