Getting from the Train Station in Tralee to Dingle Town, and from Dingle Town to the Kerry Airport

Hello friends,

I'd love to hear from anyone who has used a reliable and reasonably priced mode of transport from the train station in Tralee to Dingle Town, and in reverse, from Dingle Town to the Kerry Airport where we fly to Dublin for our trip home.

We looked into private shuttle buses and taxis (as well as the local bus) but would appreciate hearing from someone who has successfully used one of these modes.

Many thanks!

The most economical way is the bus from Tralee to Dingle. I think it takes about an hour, and I think the bus stops just across the street from the train station in Tralee. It only runs a few times a day, though, so check the Bus Eireann schedule.

I don't really know about transport to the Kerry airport, but your only choice might be an airport shuttle.

Good luck and have a wonderful time.

We have driven to Dingle several times in a rental car but decided on one trip that we did not want to drive. We scheduled a taxi from Dingle to pick us up in Shannon and then a return trip to Shannon a week later. It all went very smoothly. I don't remember the taxi company name but it is owned by person who also owns Harbor Nights B & B. I do recommend them.
Have a wonderful trip.

We hired Fossa Taxi in Killarney for a ride to the Gap of Dunloe and arranged to be picked up there later. Tom gave us his card and it says:

Previously, for a ride from Dingle to Killarney we hired a tour guide from Mr. O'Connor at Coastline Tours:

We were pleased with this company and the friendly driver/tour guide.

For the few times we hired a private driver is was expensive but well worth it.
Hope this helps.
