Has anyone taken a Game of Thrones tour in Northern Ireland? I had planned on it, but our travel agent said she didn't think it would be very worthwhile. Would you recommend it? Which one did you take?
My husband, father and I took a GOT tour in September, from Game of Thrones Tours Ltd. and thought it was well worth it! We did the option with Carrick a Rede rope bridge. Our guide worked as a Wildling extra for many season and was very passionate about all things GOT. I chose this company because they use smaller buses therefore smaller groups of people, and was very glad I did after seeing the other giant buses with 3 times the people. My father, who has never seen the show, really enjoyed it too. I'd recommend.
We didn't do the official GOT tour, however we did drive ourselves to the Dark Hedges-pretty cool. We also visited Balintoy harbor and Portstewert. Just google the locations and drive yourself around, some are close together. You can include the rope bridge, Dunluce Castle and Giants Causeway if you have a couple of days.
Stupid response but which sights are Game of Thrones sights and where were they shown in Game of Thrones? Now I feel like I should go back through my discs before my May trip in the north.
