Galway hotel or guesthouse - would love opinions

We are coming by bus from Doolin to Galway in early June (we are a couple in our mid-60s). Should get to Galway around 3/4pm. Staying for 2 nights then train to Dublin. Considering the Park House hotel for it's proximity to station but worried we will be in an area that is rowdy at night (we live in NYC and I don't mind 'city' loud but hate 'times square/party central' loud. Yes, I know they have glazing on their windows but I actually tend to like to open a hotel window!

Any thoughts on that choice?

I also found the Corrib Tea house/B&B though it's a further walk with luggage (wheeled and carry-on size).

I'd appreciate any thoughts and if anyone has any recommendations for a different choice - not super super high end but not super economy either (e.g., we ruled out the Jury Hotel).

Thanks!!!

I have the Skeffington Arms Hotel booked for my upcoming trip. It has an excellent rating (8.7) on Booking.com. It’s in walking distance of the train station.

Last year we stayed at 7 Boutique Hotel, which is just around the corner from "party central", but it was quiet as a tomb with the window closed. Rather narrow stairs would be difficult with large suitcases, although they might help. Very nice breakfast and newly renovated rooms (major building restoration).

We stayed at the Park House in 2019 (I think), and it was quiet, but the window was closed and I don’t remember if it was open-able.
It’s a traditional-style “grand hotel.” A bit dated, but comfortable and an easy walk to anywhere.

Enjoy Galway!

In June I stayed at the Victoria Hotel only a few blocks from the bus station and even closer to the train. It was very nice and very quiet.
