We are planning to be in Galway and Dublin for 3 days each in September. Any recommendations for hotels or b&bs in both places. We will have a car in Galway.

We stayed at Staunton's on the Green in Dublin and love it. It's on the south side of St. Stephen's Green, so it's walking distance to almost everything, but quiet at night. The included breakfast was very good, and our room was pretty nice. And the price was very reasonable.

We stayed at the Maldron Hotel Cardiff Lane just as the outskirts of Dublin. Maybe a 10 minute walk to Temple Bar? It was a very nice hotel with a good breakfast, and quiet location. If you don't mind being slightly away from the city action,its a good pick.
