If choose to stay in just Galway, would plan 1 day drive to cliffs & Doolin, 1 day Connemara. What roadtrip for day 3? Don’t think we’d do Aran islands, daughter prone to seasickness.

What have you planned for your day round Connemara - alomg coast to Roundstone, up to Clifden for the Sky Road Drive, Kylemore Abbey, and back to Galway stopping at the ruined Aughnanure Castle.
You could easily spend another day heading up the easat side of Lough Corrib to Headford and then find the lovely ruined Ross Errilly Friary on the banks of the Black River, then head to Cong (ruined Abbey and the place where the 'Quiet Man' was filmed - there is a museum and a reconstructioin of the cottage used in the film). Ashford CAstle is a short drive and think about a Hawk walk with them. Heading north to Castlebar and/or Westport - at Castlebar is the Museum of Country Life which is a fascinating glimpse into the way of life in rural Island a hundered years ago. They have lots of videos from the 1950s and 60s of old customs etc. Some now seem positively pagan. From Westport if time allows head to Louisburgh and then Delphi. The takes you throught Doolough Valley. This is the site of the Doolough Tragedy of 1849. During the Great Famine, hundreds of starving people were forced to walk from Louisburgh to Delphi Lodge in freezing conditions to seek relief, only to be turned away. Many perished from exhaustion and exposure on the return journey. Look out for the. Famine memorial marking this. Then head back to Galway.
