We are flying into Dublin the morning of June 29th, and will need to be in Galway on July 3rd. We have been to Derry, Belfast, Limerick, Galway and Dublin before. So that is four nights. We are using public transportation. I was thinking two nights in Kilkenny, and two in Cork, with a day trip to Kinsale for lunch. Since we don't have a car, would you do anything different than this? Drawing a line from Galway to Dublin, we have not been anywhere south of that line except for Limerick.
Limerick doesn't count!
Two nights only effectively gives you one full day in a place as you need to factor in travelling time when relocating.
Kilkenny is a good place to stay as there is a lot to do and see around the town - Castle, Cathedra, Rothe House and Gardens, the old jail and courthouse, Black Abbey....
Unless you specifically want to stay in Cork, think about booking either Kinsale or Cobh which are both much smaller with a lot of character and can be easily reached from Cork.
Makes sense, many thanks for your reply!
