Hi All,
My husband and I are traveling to Ireland with our 3 adult kids, 5 carryons and 5 backpacks. We're concerned about driving on the other side of the road with the size of a Renault Traffic but we like the idea of having more space. Do you think we could make do with a Ford Galaxy? The longest drive we'll have will be 2 1/2 hrs.
Thank you!
Ford Galaxy seats 7. That should work.
Driving on the other side isn’t that difficult. Follow cars in front of you and you’ll get the hang of it.
However, be prepared for roundabouts. Take a paper map as GPS can fail on the island.
I think the Galaxy will be ok. You will have to put the 2 rearmost seats down to fit the luggage in so it is only a 5 seater in use. The 3 rear seats that you can use are all full size seats suitable for an adult. The car will be completely full but you don’t have any really long drives.
This is one of the biggest cars you’ll see in Europe.
My first car was a 65 Ford Galaxy. The new version is much larger.
