I will be landing tomorrow in Dublin on Air Transat before taking Ryanair to Birmingham (Staying in Dublin awhile on my way home)
Do I have to go all the way out then come back in, going through security again? Some airports let you stay within a "zone" so that isn't needed.
Can't see anything on Dublin airport website yet it must happen a lot.
Thanks Sally
Since these two airlines are not partners with flights on same ticket, this is what I found
“Yes, self-connecting passengers at Dublin Airport typically have to go through security again. This is because they are treated as arriving and departing passengers, meaning they need to exit, collect their baggage, and then re-enter through security for their onward flight.”
Thank you. As I feared!
If you aren't checking bags you may be able to stay airside:
With carry-on luggage only: Follow the “Flight Connections” signs in both terminals—unless you’re travelling outside 06:00–13:00hrs through Terminal 1. In this case, exit through Baggage Reclaim and go through security.

You will go through immigration in Dublin.
There is no immigration when flying from Ireland to the UK. When you go through immigration in Dublin, you are cleared for both Ireland and the UK.
When you arrive in Birmingham, you just walk off the plane and go about your day.
Ah, Frank is right. I keep forgetting there’s no immigration between Ireland and the UK but there is immigration from the UK to Ireland
