Fly from Belfast to Glasgow

Hi everyone. At the end of our RS Ireland tour, we are flying over to Glasgow and spending almost two weeks. Months ago I booked a 7:00 (non-stop) morning flight on Aer Lingus from Belfast City Airport to Glasgow. Got notified today that flight has been cancelled and they rebooked us on a 15:15 flight getting us into Glasgow at 16:00. There is no other direct morning flight from that airport.

Looking at flights from the Belfast International Airport (18 miles west of town according to RS book), Easy Jet has two direct morning/midday flights. Costs for either flight are pretty similar.

I am wondering if we just stick with the mid afternoon flight from the city airport or switch over and do Easy Jet from the international airport. We have never flown either airline or been in either airport.

Thanks for opinions and/or recommendations !!

Just a few days ago we transited Glasgow to Belfast on Hannon Coach: downtown Glasgow bus to ferry and back on bus to downtown Belfast. I highly recommend it! Very affordable and relaxing, plus the ferry is like a miniature cruise ship.

Don, six of one, half a dozen of the other.

Neither airport is extremely big. Belfast City is small but when I went through their security people were the most incompetent I had ever seen.

I have flown both airlines numerous times. The flight on Aer Lingus is a turboprop while the flight on Easyjet is a jet. (if this makes a difference to you.)

Either one is fine. It's only about a 45 minute flight.
