Hi! We are looking for information on fly fishing in Ireland in mid September. Any one have a guide or travel house they have used to set up a fly fishing trip? We are open to location but would like to be close to towns/villages that have activities for when we aren't fishing. We like hikes, museums, Irish Pubs... Thanks
Reading your post reminded me of Death of a Gossip by MC Beaton. It's a murder mystery book set among the lochs of Scotland as folks holiday with a salmon and trout fishing tour. It's a fun read, and I always thought it sounded like a fun trip minus the murder, of course. With that said, I have no recommendations, but wondering if Google, Reddit, or Trip Advisor might be a better source for this. Anyway, bumping your post up just so folks get another look at it.
Have you done a google search 'Fly Fihsing ireland" ? It throws up lots of websites. This is possibly the best to begin with. Places like Ballynahinch Castle also do fishing breaks asnd there are more suggestions here.
