In July 2022, I will be in Normandy and want to use the ferry to transit directly from France to Ireland. There is a ferry from Cherbourg to Cork. Has anyone used this route? If so, suggestions/tips. Thanks

Just that the ferries have a tendency to cancel, so it's good to have a backup plan. Also, not every route runs every day as there are times when the boats are out of service for maintenance and so forth. I see that Aferrry.com shows sailings from Cherbourg to Rosslare and Dublin, not Cork. They show a sailing between Cork and Roscoff, France.
