Plan to travel from Belfast at the completion of Ireland tour to Edinburgh to begin a Scotland tour. ScotRail has ferry/train ticket combos from the Belfast port. I am having an issue with buying it in advance online since there is no way to pick up the tickets in Belfast (no ScotRail ticket machines at port) and their website's options for mail delivery is only to Great Britain. What am I missing? Anyone else ever do this? Please advise. Does RIck Steve's Rail Europe book these trips??
Have a look here.

Though it first states London to Belfast, scroll down and you’ll see details about the route from Belfast via Cairnryan to Glasgow (and Edinburgh) and how to buy tickets.
In your situation I think you're left with this option:
Buy in person in Northern Ireland, at the NIR Travel centre at Great Victoria Street rail station, open 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday, 09:00-12:30 Saturday, or you can buy in advance or on the day of travel at the Stena Line ferry terminal in Belfast, look for the 'travel centre' counter as you walk in.
It's simpler to fly.
Yes, I recall that we reached the same conclusion (to purchase locally or fly) on similar questions in the past year. No, the Sail-Rail ticket discounts are not sold through US agents.
I have an update. I was able to make my reservations on theTrainline.com and have them mailed to me. Thanks everyone for your input.
