Family trip to Ireland ,

Three areas that I could use information about:
1) three adults Dublin and driving to Cork. Would like to stop and stay overnight at an interesting site on south east coast but do not know area.
2) We meet up in Kinsale with rest of family .(.5 adults, 3 children) Looking for suggested day trips and in particular in west cork that children would enjoy.
3). Thinking of traveling up to Galway NW and then to Dublin airport at end of trip. Never been to Galway. Activities? Places to stay? Do we need to allow more than 2 days for that route?

Appreciate any and all suggestions!

Not sure from your post if you are driving to Cork upon arrival. If so, please reconsider. Driving after an overnight flight, while being tired and jet lagged, on new ground, and on the left side of the road, is not the best way to start a trip. Perhaps spend a day or so in Dublin before the drive?

Good advice. But I have done it from Shannon many times.

We were thinking of taking 2 days around Dublin. before heading to Cork. I don't know the area but do not want to stay directly in the city. Any ideas??
