Extra day in Derry. Better to see County Donegal or Ulster American Folk Park

I have planned an extra day in Derry and my original plan was to do Rick Steve's driving loop of County Donegal. Now I am wondering if it is a better idea to see Ulster American Folk Park? Does someone have thoughts on this? Thank you!

Given a choice between the two, especially for a first time visitor, I'd have to go with the Donegal Loop Drive. For a pleasant meander on a sunny day it's hard to beat. A stop at Glenveagh National Park is highly recommended - provides a look at how the other half lived back in the mid 1800's, plus there's a very pretty shoreline walk along the edge of the Lough. It was the scene of one of the last of the great land evictions back around 1860.
Time and interest permitting there's a very scenic loop drive just north of Dunfanaghy that would provide spectacular views on a fine day. It's not for the faint hearted though - the road is one of those narrow, one lane things that rural Ireland is famous for - but if you can gut it out even part way the reward is worth it. Then again there are scenic detours all along the route once you get off the N 56.

Thank you very much for the great advice Robert. I think that Donegal will be my choice.
