"Experiences" in Ireland/12 year old

Has anyone used the AirBnB Experiences? We are traveling to Shannon for 8 nights with my mother (78), mother in law (89) and daughter (12). My daughter will be the only one on the trip under the age of 50 and is a little worried about having to do boring "older people" things. I found several experiences on AirBnB that she would like - a couple cooking classes, irish dance class, candle making class, dairy farm tour - and I'm wondering if anyone has tried these with specifically AirBnB experiences or if anyone has any similar suggestions? We will likely be able to hike while the grandmothers rest as i don't expect them to do much hiking. I did find at least one place with a ropes course/zip line.

Thanks!

Can you go to the Connemara area and do the Hawk Walk at Ashford Castle?

If you cannot make it all the way to Ashford Castle, which offers (as the poster above stated) an incredible Hawk Walk experience (with the School of Falcony right on the grounds).........then consider booking a Hawk Walk at Dromoland Castle (which is very close to Shannon).

For Hawk Walks, each participant gets his/her own hawk, and after some initial instruction on how to land/launch, along with general information about hawks, participants are guided as they land/launch their own hawks. An incredible experience. Yes, you are given a very strong (and thick) leather glove to use.

If you are not familiar with the experience, just Google "Hawk Walk" Ashford Castle, and you will see all sorts of YouTube videos that you can watch. You could probably do the same for Dromoland by doing a similar Google search.

If you 12-year old might be too timid to have her own hawk, she and the grandparents might enjoy just watching you have the experience.

Kate, May I ask which dairy farm you will be going to? We will be traveling with a 6 year old, and she might enjoy that. Thanks!

The Hawk walk at Ashford castle was amazing. My kids still talk about it. They were 9 and 11 at the time.
