Flying to Belgium next week Have a 17hr layover in Dublin arrive 7:30 pm leave 12:30 pm the next day. Traveling alone. Wanted to at least get a taste of Dublin, not just the airport. Thoughts or recs about staying in town vs airport? And what to do. Not a huge sightseeing/tour fan, prefer a local experience. Traveling alone.

I would look to stay in the city centre so that you can walk around easily. You really only have the evening as you will need to be at the airport the next day at 9:30 am for your flight at 12:30. I would consider a pub... maybe one of the ones that offer Iris dancing/sorytelling
