Ennis Ireland and surrounding area

After a nine day tour around Ireland, I am staying three extra nights. I will leave the tour after two nights in Ennis and need recommendations. Do I stay? Where can I head for three nights (flying out of Shannon)? I'm a female traveling alone and want to enjoy a few days sight seeing on my own. Thank you in advance.

Connemara by all means, in my experience the most beautiful region in Ireland. Assuming you're driving, go west to Clifden then east to Leenane, both worthy of overnights. Leenane sits between three mountain ranges at the tip of Killary Harbor and the country's only fjord. Good restaurants and trad in Clifden and the Blackberry Restauaurant (make reservations for dinner) in Lennane.

Alternatively, head to Doolin - the "capital" of trad - with its three pubs and a night on one of the Aran Islands from the ferry dock in Doolin. [https://www.doolinferries.com/][1]

Perhaps we can be effective making recommendations for additional things for you to see/experience, if we know what your 9-day tour will include. I want to suggest Connor's Pass, Dingle, Bunratty Folk Park, Connemera, Kylemore Abbey, Ashford Castle (a stay and/or the Hawk Walk)........but I keep saying to myself (surely her tour will include most, if not all, of that).
