My family and I are planning a trip to Ireland during my son's school break from April 13-22, 2017. The first part of the trip we will be in Galway which will occur during the Easter weekend. What can we expect in terms of what will be closed and open during this time? Thanks

We are also in Ireland on Easter this year, and I was quite worried about it as well. From what I could tell based on guidebooks, talking to friends and internet research, it seems like Good Friday is the day to worry about with closures. We are flying in that day, so it ended up not affecting us. However, just about everywhere is open on Easter Sunday itself. I have confirmed this with a couple of the tours we're planning on Easter Sunday.
