What would be the easiest route to take? As in not so treacherous roads. I'm worried about driving as it is. This will be my longest travel day. Good place to stop Galway?
I would not worry about the roads--I have driven twice in Ireland, the last time in May 2016. The thing about narrow/threacherous roads always mystifies me, much like the thing about how Parisians are uniformly rude. The route shown on Google Maps looks very reasonable, and I think it's the one we followed in reverse order. I strongly recommend that you visit Ennis for lunch, and maybe more of County Clare. Don't just blow through County Clare if you can avoid it, there's much to see there.
should be a pretty easy drive but for me I did not go through the Connor Pass on the first trip down, I took the route through Camp and went south on N86 to Dingle. Later we took a drive up to Connor Pass from the Dingle side and it looked really great from that side. If I had hit the pass after a long drive or early in my Ireland driving experience it would have daunting for novice. Give the trip around Tralee and then west to Camp and then south to Dingle a look. For a great planning online map side is the aa.ie site... https://www.theaa.ie/routes/#/r/Galway,Ireland/Dingle+Harbour+Lodge,The+Wood,Dingle,Ireland/ enjoy the wonder scenery and awesome Irish folks. Looks like close to 3.5 hours. We actually went south from Doolin and took the ferry at Kilrush so I cant speak for the road going south around Limerick
Thanks for the info all!!
