Can anyone tell me how easy (or not lol) it is to get to Dunluce Castle if I don't have a car? Will be travelling from Belfast ... :)
Thanks!

Rick's book indicates that taxi fares to Dunluce Castle are reasonable (6 pounds one way, probably more if you're asking them to wait) from Portrush (served by train and coach, a good overnight location). Rome2Rio.com suggests that you could also take a taxi from Coleraine station (a bit longer distance), with is the train change point on the way to Portrush. Thanks kindly Laura, that sounds totally do-able :))
Depending when you are going, in the summer there is a shuttle bus that runs a circuit from the Tourist Info office in Portrush (a short and easy walk from the Portrush train station). The shuttle bus stops at Dunluce, Giant's Causeway and Bushmill's and it's cheap. If you do take a taxi, just make sure you either arrange for the driver to come back at a specified time to pick you up, or else get the taxi company's number and call from your cell (or ask someone in the ticket office to call for you) once you are nearing the end of your visit. You aren't likely to see a line of taxis just waiting outside Dunluce to pick up tourists, and it's kind of out there and not near much of anything else.
I took the shuttle bus as I had no car and was staying in Portrush for a few nights (after having taken the local train in from Belfast). I found it to be pretty easy to get around to the main sites using it, and even in peak tourist season when I went, both the shuttle and Dunluce were not crowded with other tourists at all. I had the grounds to myself for a good 45 minutes before anyone else showed up which made for some great photos.
