I’m wanting to book a castle banquet for our trip in June but evidently I’ve waited too late to get a decent time at Bunratty or Knappogue. I saw Dunguaire as an option and it would be closer to where we will be that day. The website isn’t selling tickets and google maps has it listed as temporarily closed. Does anyone know what’s happening?
Their website says they are closed for the season. They are open April through October.
Any idea when tickets for the banquet will go on sale then. Evidently I need to be ready to pounce if we want to book that.
I see quite a few dates in June available and some with the 5:30 slot open. Obviously if,you are tied in to only one or two dates for Bunratty availability, that could be a problem. But if you want to go and the date is open, the later time is still feasible.

They do book up with tour groups, though, and sometimes all of those don’t end up full. I would also suggest emailing them to get on a potential waiting list. (Did this with a group of 20 back in 2019.) And sometimes those x-ed off dates aren’t full - they just aren’t opened up yet and may open later if current dates fill. So keep checking.
I'm also wondering if Dunguaire is opening at all? Website doesn't allow bookings and no one replies to the email provided
There are still quite a few June dates available at Bunratty. I wonder if the OP was successful in booking.
I am guessing Dunguaire Castle is not going to open this season. At least not in the near future.
I tried contacting Dunguaire Castle via their Facebook page to day and got the message "Dunguaire Castle is currently closed.
