We are looking for an area to stay in Dublin that is walkable to restaurants and pubs in the evening. Everything I have read says to stay away from Temple Bar. Thank you in advance for the tips!

We're staying here this September. We stayed at the Jury's Christ Church when we went with our kids in 1999.

There's nothing unsavory about Temple Bar - it's just crowded with tourists in the evenings. I wouldn't want to try to sleep right over one of the pubs, but a block or two away there are quiet streets.
