Dublin Vacation Rental

Can anyone point me in the direction to find an apartment or home near Dublin center for July 8-14. We are a group of 9 (7 adults and 2 children ages 9 and 12). I have checked Airbnb, vrbo, homeaway, flipkey…all the usual suspects that have availability appear to be one room with all the beds in that one room. I’ve never had this issue when we have traveled to other European locations so I’m wondering if there are vacation rental restrictions in Ireland?

Looking for a 4 bedroom configuration, 5 would be ideal so kids could have their own room. Everyone needs a bed, so no futon/couch sleeping. Minimum of 2 bathrooms, the more the better.
Bedroom 1 - 2 adults, 2 children
Bedroom 2 - 2 adults
Bedroom 3 - 2 adults
Bedroom 4 - 1 adult

I’ve looked at some of the Staycity locations. While it is not ideal (we prefer to all be in a home/apartment together with a full kitchen), we could make it work if we had to. Any thoughts on Staycity? Which Dublin location is best??

In the fall of 2019 the Dublin Council passed restrictions on short-stay lodging (typical AirB&B/VRBO places), driving most small operators to rent their places to locals seeking housing. A landlord we rented from for a three day visit explained the minimum stay would be two weeks - he was very upset, as he had bought the apartment specifically for VRBO, and wouldn't get the expected return from a long term rental. I presume he found a tenant as his apartment dropped out of sight. Of course that drove short term prices up quite a bit.

We stayed in Staycity Dublin Castle in May of 2022, and it was fine. The location was wonderful. The staff was great. The room was small (we had a studio-style apartment) but well-appointed and clean. We did have a microwave, mini-fridge, sink, and table. It was a good option for Dublin, which, I agree, does not have a lot of vacation apartment options.

They do have 1 and 2 bedroom suites.
