Hi All,
We are travelling to Ireland for the first time in August (4 adults) flying into Dublin and flying out of Shannon. We'd like to see Dublin, Galway and the Dingle Peninsula. We will be renting a car. Does anyone have any itinerary suggestions? Thanks in advance for your kindness.
Here is a quick and dirty suggestion that you can fill out better using Rick's Ireland book:
Fly to Dublin and spend 3 nights there.
Early train or drive 3 hours to Galway and spend 2 nights. (Train tickets are discounted online, versus buying in the station, even without booking ahead.) Side trip to Aran Islands on the second day.
Spend most of the day for a scenic drive via the Burren and Cliffs of Moher to Dingle, and stay 2 nights.
Drive 3 hours to Shannon and stay 1 night there, depending on the time of your flight departure.
That's 8 nights. Is that correct or too many?
