Taking the train from Dublin to Kilkenny boarding at Connolly Station. It indicates a one train change when taking this route, does anyone know where the change takes place? I was unable to find that information out on the website.

The change is at Heuston Station, which is cross-town a couple of miles away. The journey is then direct (no further changes) all the way to Kilkenny. Might save you a bit of time if you just make your way to Heuston Station and start the trip from there.
