We are a couple in our 70’s traveling with our son & partner in their 30’s.
Picking up rental car in Dublin on a Friday AM then traveling to Galway for the night. We want to see the Poulnabrone Dolmen, the Cliffs of Moher & take the Killimer Ferry on our way south. I need suggestions for what town (s) are best to stay the next 3 nights returning to Dublin on Tuesday afternoon. We would like to do EITHER the Dingle Peninsula OR the Ring of Kerry (the one that works best), the Killarney National Park & the Rock of Cashel for sure.
Is this something that can be done in 3 full and 2 half days? What towns are best for overnights? Which routes are best?

I suggest you skip Galway and drive directly to the Dolmen, then the cliffs and stay in/near Doolin (a popular stop for Forum folk). This will save about half a day. Saturday drive via ferry to Killarney area for NP and ROK. I wouldn't stay in Killarney. With a car, you can stay anywhere, so set the map wide on your favorite accommodation site and see what suits your needs and budget. Kenmare is popular with the RS crowd, but I found it teeming with Americans in early July and wouldn't go there again. Rock of Cashel can be your lunch stop on the long return drive.

I'd agree with G3rryCee - that's a lot to fit into the time available. Forget Galway and drive straight to the Burren area. Doolin is a popular place to sat but any of the smaller viallges would work.
Rather than stopping in Dingle, Kilarney or Kenmare, think about Killorglin as that is well situated for both Dingle or Kilarney NP. Once settled there you can decided on the day which way to go. It may well be quieter than Dingle and Kilarney too!
