Dublin to Drogheda (MacBride) Train station with Vistor Leap Card?

We are looking into taking the 9:45am Newgrange and Knowth tour from the visitor center. We will be leaving from Dublin take a train to Drogheda (MacBride) station and from there a taxi. Same coming back (around 1PM). Can I use my Leap Visitor Card from Dublin to Drogheda (MacBride) station and back? There are many options on routes to take. Is there a specific one I need to use the Leap Visitor Card? All Newgrange guided tours from Dublin the day I would like to go are booked.

Does anyone have a recommendation on a taxi service we can book ahead?

i don't have an answer for you on the Leap card, but as far as taxis from the Drogheda station to the visitor center, when you get off the train you will see business cards for taxis on the wall. We called one and they were there in a few minutes. its' about a 15 minutes taxi ride. For the way back, we used the app Free Now, which is like lyft/uber. I could have also called the same taxi service as the way over, but wanted to try the app.

@annemargaret THANK YOU for the tip on the Free Now app. I booked ahead the night before. We arrived and walked out the station and our ride was there. It worked out perfectly.
