Dublin to Chicago Flight

I have an 11:35 am Aer Lingus flight on June 2nd from Dublin to Chicago. What would be a comfortable time to arrive at the airport?

Also, we will be staying in Dublin at The Davenport before our flight. Where would be a convenient place to get a rapid test the day before our flight? I assume they are still required?

Thank you for your help!

Your hotel can probably advise on the closest most convenient place to the hotel for testing (and yes the United States still requires proof of a negative test for entry).

The recommended time to arrive at the airport is 3 hours before departure. If you have global entry and/or flying business class you can probably arrive 2 hours ahead and be fine. But there have been reports of staffing shortages and the resultant longer wait times. I’d stick with 3 hours.

Try www.gosafe48.ie

It is on Ormond Quay, about a mile walk from the Davenport, which should be very enjoyable. Less expensive than the Randox at the airport.

We just got back 1-1/2 weeks ago and were on that same flight. Even having Global Entry, it still took us more than 3 hours to go through all the checkpoints, which made it very stressful. Leave plenty of time!
