Dublin to Belfast and Titanic Museum and tour

Please help me with suggested booking times. We will be in Ireland for 10 days this summer.

We will be picking up a rental car at the Dublin Airport - I booked a 10:00 pickup time since well be taking a taxi from Dublin City.
From the rental car pick up we'll drive to Belfast for one night. Google maps shows travel time ~ 1:36 to Benedicts Hotel where well drop off the car and check our luggage for our over night stay.

We plan to see the Titanic museum and also do Patty Campbell's Black Cab Tour

  1. What one should we do first?

  2. how much time should we allow between tours? We will not want to spend hours at the museum but I see the tickets are timed. This will be on a Wednesday not weekend.

I believe the Black Cab tours will pick you up at your desired location.

  1. Dinner suggestions?

Thank you

Are you renting a car just to go from Dublin to Belfast? Why not just take the train?

Since you are driving to Belfast and seeing the sites on the day you arrive, I suggest you go to the Titanic Museum first. You will have been sitting during the drive and you'll be on your feet while in the museum for a couple of hours. We really enjoyed the museum.

Take a break, then schedule the Black Cab Tour in the late afternoon - you'll be sitting again.

We had three dinners while in Belfast and to be honest while the food was good, I don't remember the restaurants. We may have a restaurant in mind, but it depends on our mood as where we choose to eat. There are plenty of good options in Belfast.

Since you have a car I hope you are going to Giants Causeway.

Enjoy!

Thank you we’re renting a car because after Belfast we’re going to Giants Causeway then west to Donegal and end in. Galway flying home from Shannon

I'm not sure I follow that logic, visiting Giants Causeway does not mean you have to drive between Dublin and Belfast.

Still doesn't make sense. Having a car for a part of a trip does not mean that you have to have a car for the entire trip.
