I'm going to Dublin for three days in early September. Did you eat anywhere you thought was great?
Thanks so much.
In the summer of 2015 my daughter and I really enjoyed the Bank-beautiful building and I really enjoyed the seafood.
We thought The Pig's Ear, and The Farm, were great.
I agree on The Farm. We ate there 2 times. I recommend a reservation if you are going at a popular time. We did not initially order deserts, but saw waiters caring them to tables. We had to order them - they (an the food) were great!
Queen of Tarts was one of my favorites for breakfast or lunch when I last visited: delicious pastries and cakes, good tarts (quiche) and salad. Porterhouse is good for casual fare and beer. The fish and chips stand near the cathedral, recommended by RS, is tasty. Bewley's is a fun place for coffee and people-watching. And the restaurant at the Merrion Hotel is a delicious high-end splurge. Lots of choices- have a wonderful time!
Thanks for all your suggestions!
We all really enjoyed the food at the Brazen Head pub. The Guiness Stew and the Fish and Chips were a big hit.
We also loved the hot chocolate at Butler's chocolate shop and ice cream at Murphy's.
We also enjoyed Queen of tarts for breakfast and loved our dinner at the Boxty House.
Enjoy!
