Trying to decide whether to arrive early and stay in Ennis for few days before our Ireland Rick Steve's tour or stay a few days later in Dublin in early October. Any thoughts? If we stay in Dublin, what should we see/do?

I would spend more time in Dublin. Things to do - Mary Gibbon’s Newgrange tour (all day), the National Museum of Ireland, the Jeanie Johnston ship and the Epic Museum, Guinness Brewery, lunch at Bewley’s or Davide Byrne’s, walk St. Stephen’s Green and do a loop of Merrion Square to see all the different doors, the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin literary pub crawl.
