Dublin options: 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour and Kilmainham Gaol: choose 1 or both?

With limited Dublin time, would you recommend both the 1916 Rebellion Walking Tour and a visit to the Gaol, or is there enough overlap that I should choose one? If so, which one?! Rick gives both strong reviews.
