We will be in Dublin next May, several days before our RS tour begins. Our tour itinerary will cover many of the sites in south Dublin and we are interested in a north side walking tour. I’ve looked through this forum, RS’s guidebook, trip advisor, and various walking tour websites, and there are (as usual) so many options! We’ve always enjoyed the “free walking tours” we’ve taken in other cities and there appears to be several of those. There are also paid walking tours available. In the past we’ve just “shown up” for the free walking tours, but the websites I’ve looked at offer the ability to sign up in advance. Would appreciate any Dublin north side walking tour recommendations and are advance reservations needed that time of year?
Hi bkmat62.
I don't know of any tours that only visit the north side of Dublin. I'd recommend the Dublin Highlights Walking Tour. It lasts about 2 hours and covers the city centre area. it visits both north and south side of the bridge but includes a lot of sights on the north side. It is very interesting and informative.
Best,
Mike.
