Is there a place we could store bags at the Dublin airport? We have an 11 hour layover. mid morning to night. What is the one thing we should do? 26 hour layover on the way home, morning to morning, have a hotel for that event. Any advice is appreciated.

Is it possible to have your airline check your bags through to your destination?
As for one thing to do in Dublin, personally I'd go for the Trinity College walking tour including seeing the Book of Kells. (You can pay for the tour with or without entry to the library where Book of Kells is on display.)

Thank you for the ideas. We are going on to Africa and plan to keep our luggage with us for the flight so checking it in won'r work. We need lockers or a nearby place to leave it just for the day.

You could try a walking tour, perhaps?
Or the HopOn HopOff bus?
Kilmainham Gaol was my favorite place.

There is a bag lockup near the main bus station. If you took a bus from the airport to there, you could put the bag there.
What do you like to do? To throw out suggestions for the day when what we like isn't what you would like doesn't seem to work!

Thanks for all the helpful replies. The luggage storage problem is our biggest one so thank you Susan. I'm sure we'll figure out what to do in our few hours around town. It was good to see the Trinity suggestion.
