First time going to Ireland and will be in Dublin in April just for a day, looking at hop on hop off bus tour. Looking for recommendations on what company and must see places.

What are your interests? That would help narrow things down. Some sights need reservations Book of Kells, Kilmainham Gaol, Guinness Storehouse.

I did the same thing. I took the hop on, hop off bus tour. It was a bit slow due to some traffic, but I did get an overall view of many sights. What I enjoyed more though was the guided walk that was included with the cost of my bus ticket. (Tipping the guide is appropriate. ) The guide was quite good. Full disclosure, I didn't make it through the entire tour because we passed The Brazen Head Pub, and suddenly, at that exact moment, I became quite thirsty. 😂
