I have a day in Dublin in april. Is city centre small enough to see in a day?
.... hmmmm
Not really. If all you want to do is SEE the city I suggest the Hop on/Hop off bus. I have done it twice and it will certainly give you a good overview of the city. It's a BIG city.....

Thank you. I will return for a longer period in the future and see more. I just took advantage off a day off work and some cheap flights.
I think there are a few ways of doing it:
1) try the hop on and of bus to get a "feel" for the city and its sights and then know what you want to come back to
2) make list of things you want to see in Dublin overall and then pick 2 in the sam vicinity and leave the rest for next time
3) I love doing walking tours. There are some great ones offered in Dublin that woful take you around the city centre and a little outside. You would get a great feel for the city and its history and then plan the follow-up for your next trip
I will also be in Dublin for a day! My main trip is to Barcelona, and it just so happened that the best priced (and best timed) flights from DC were on Aer Lingus. To take advantage of this unexpected treat, I gave myself 48 hours in Dublin before flying back home. Just enough time for dinner & sleep, a day exploring, then breakfast and a ride to the airport. It's not much, but I'm super excited to whet my appetite for future visits.
