I am arriving at the Dublin airport 2:45pm and driving to Kilkenny. Can anyone tell me about how long a trip that will be with normal traffic?

per google maps, at the time of day you arrive, you should expect a 3 hr trip
Are you planning to drive ( on the 'other' side of the road) after an overnite flight from the western US?

I don't think it's a 3 hour trip. Once you are in your car, it should be maybe an hour and 45 minutes. It's mostly along a really good highway, so it should be a relatively smooth trip.
