Dublin Airport Customs/Immigration?

Flying from Seattle --> NY --> arriving in Dublin Airport at 9:25 AM in March.
I'm taking the gobus.ie straight from the Airport to Galway and the options for bus times are 9:45 AM (which won't happen), 10:45 AM, 11:45, or 12:45.
I am not sure if I'll check baggage or just only do carry on. Hopefully I won't need to in order to save time.

Which bus time do you think is the best? Also, how long does customs and immigration usually take inside Dublin Airport for a US citizen.

Thank you :)

More important, how do you know your flight will arrive on time? Does gobus give you the flexibility to change departures if your flight is delayed?

Sam,

Fingers crossed I will arrive on time. I just emailed gobus.ie and asked if they're flexible or not and what happens if I miss it.

Any suggestions on buses? I'm looking at buseireann.ie also

I don't remember customs/immigration taking that long when we arrived in Dublin, but our flight was horribly delayed. We had planned to have a driver pick us up. That didn't happen, and because I was inflight during most of the times when I could have contacted the agency, they weren't willing to adjust anything to account for the flight delay. Totally fair, and I get that. Just sharing it here to point out that flights do not always arrive on time.

Does your bus service offer any options if your flight is delayed/changed?

I was in Dublin in May of last year and the immigration and customs process was very quick.

I Landed in Dublin last September and 3 planes had landed. We were quite a while getting through passport check.

I asked the bus company and they said they can put me on the next bus if I delay.
I'm thinking about just buying a bus ticket when I get there.
Do you know any good bus companies that do that?

There is also frequent train service between Dublin and Galway. In May I'll be traveling to Galway after a few days in Dublin and plan on taking the train at this point.

Dublin is usually quick even for non EU/EEA passports but there is always the risk if two or three flights turn up at once.

Don't forget to check citylink.ie -- and I believe McCarthy's Bus has a service....
