We are wondering if this is a doable day: Leaving Dingle Town heading by Killarney and then Killarney National Park. From there south to Kenmare past Glengarriff and along the coast to Kinsale. We are mostly sightseeing by car but with a few stops. Possibly realistic?
If all you really want to do is sightsee by car, you can do this. But if you intend to actually see anything in any of these places, no. The drive alone from Dingle to Killarney is about 90 minutes, without stops for photos, lunch, getting turned around, or seeing anything in the National Park. Then the drive from Killarney to Kinsale via Kenmare and Glengarriff is just under four hours (again, with no stops at all). That makes just under six hours of just driving. There won't be much day left for any stops, like touring the National Park or Muckross House, or seeing anything in Kenmare or Glengarriff. You would be better off to stop for the night in Kenmare, then continue on to Kinsale the next day.
Too little time and so much to see! But if I accept that I cannot see everything, I would rather see some things well. Good advice. Regrouping now.
