Driving in Belfast

Unfortunately, we will be driving from Dublin to Belfast, so I was wondering what to do with the car. We will be there two nights. During our first full day, we are planning some tours, so won't need the car, but in the evenings? Any short trips of interest outside the city maybe? Seems a shame to park it up for two days.

You could visit Mount Stewart, a stately home with famous gardens located on the Strangford Lough near the town of Newtonards. It was the home of the Marquess of Londonderry (interesting biography "Society's Queen: The Life of Edith, Marchioness of Londonderry").

Closer in to the city (to the east) are the Folk and Transport Museums, and (to the south) Giant's Ring

To the north, Cave Hill

If you're most interested in using the car to visit places outside of the city, perhaps find a B&B that is more suburban.

I should have planned better.

Already booked an apt that's not too far from the titanic.

I like some of your ideas, though. Thanks.
